history

Sweetwater Retreat has been a beloved part of a multigenerational family legacy since the land was purchased in 1992. Situated atop a narrow ridge, the retreat is surrounded by 240 acres of native grassland and forest, providing stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere that encourages reflection and connection.

A Venue for Growth
Architectural Design
The architecture of Sweetwater Retreat fosters a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Large windows and open layouts invite the natural surroundings into the living areas, enhancing the sense of tranquility. This design aligns with the original intention of creating a welcoming environment for family and friends to gather and create lasting memories.
Now, thirty years later, Sweetwater Retreat is opening its doors as a venue for personal and communal growth. We see this space as more than a gathering place; it is a sanctuary where individuals can explore their potential and connect with themselves, others, and the natural world.

Guided Experiences
At Sweetwater Retreat, we invite visiting facilitators to lead guests through various topics and activities. These experiences allow participants to engage with the beautiful landscape while promoting personal development and community connection. Through workshops, retreats, and special events, our goal is to nurture an atmosphere of exploration and growth.

“As soon as I pulled up to the beautiful Balinese gates at Sweetwater, I exhaled, and my capacity to breath and be grateful only improved as the retreat went on. It is a sacred space and you can feel it as soon as you enter. I felt peaceful, calm, engaged, and seen. The wonderful yoga, cooking, and Ayurvedic lessons were balanced with downtime for reflection, and a lot of laughter, healing, growth and connection along the way. I highly recommend Sweetwater Retreat.”
