With deep roots in Hawai’i and strong ties to California, the Sweetwater Ohana have infused the retreat with a strong sense of place in its design and decor. Guided by our Kapuna, the values of family connection and gratitude for stewardship are at the heart of everything we do. The four siblings, along with two grandkids, two great-grandkids, and their spouses, all cherish Sweetwater as their family home and visit frequently.
The oldest siblings reside on the property and nearby, providing loving stewardship and a deep appreciation for the place. This profound sense of family legacy, coupled with
the recognition of the value of community in the ongoing creation of a sacred space, is what truly brings Sweetwater Retreat to life.
